The only one with scientific studies to support its efficacy and safety in weight loss is the low-fat ketogenic diet combined with physical activity and nutritional supervision, such as the one used in the KInD™ methods.

The KInD™ induces morning ketosis when people are in low glycogen state after overnight fasting and maintain a low-fat moderate-protein diet for the rest of the day. This diet will make sure that our clients lose fat, not muscle.

What is ketosis?

The Keto Intermittent™ (KInD™) Diet provides the recommended amount of protein while keeping carbs and fats low. When eating fewer carbohydrates, the body starts using its stored fat for primary energy source instead of burning muscle.

This process is called ketosis and is a type of metabolism that our body carries out naturally when carbohydrate intake is low.

How dose KInD™ work?

Too much carbohydrate-rich food, especially fructose, can be converted into fat

Unused carbohydrates (e.g., fructose in fruits and syrups) are directly converted into fat. This fat is initially stored in the liver, increasing the risk of non-alcoholic fatty liver. Excess fat in the liver not only enlarges the waist circumference but also reduces the insulin sensitivity of liver cells, thereby increasing the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Reduced insulin sensitivity forces the body to produce more insulin

Insulin can lower blood sugar levels. However, when sensitivity decreases, it's like fat cells wearing gloves that can't feel insulin signals. This situation forces beta cells in the pancreas to secrete more insulin in an effort to make our cells respond to the insulin signal.

Elevated insulin levels make people gain weight easily

Insulin, often referred to as a 'fat-storing hormone,' facilitates the absorption and storage of fat in the body. Elevated average insulin levels can lead to weight gain, even with reduced calorie intake.

Stimulate the body to use stored fat

Because of the low carbohydrate intake, the body has to use its accumulated fat reserves as fuel. This process, called ketosis, results in the formation of the so-called ketone bodies, which are used as the main source of energy and also produce a psycho-stimulant effect, generating a sense of the well-being and vitality.

Enough protein intake

Unlike other ketogenic diets, KInD™ reduces the total intake of fats and sugars to maintain normal body functions and enough protein source to keep muscle mass.
